@pitufa_07 Жыл бұрын
No because the way Womb ends with "is life is death" on repeat is amazing because it's talking about the womb which is the life, and then Death starts with the same "is life is death" on repeat representing the death part. The best part is that Death is the first song and Womb is the last so when you're finished listening to Womb it basically continues into Death, when the playlist starts over, which is amazing.

True fans respect her right to change her aesthetic as she pleases. Evolution is a healthy and positive thing, and I’m so excited to see Mel walking new paths 🌹
@yukicross989 Жыл бұрын
Also, what they’re not understanding is crybaby is Mel when she was 19 years old. The fact that people are arguing and fighting for someone who is well into her 20s to continue to make music and act like she’s 19 for their comfort is weird. She’s growing into herself. she’s growing not only as an artist but as a woman, and she has the right to expressed that. But people saying “oh I’m not following you because of how your music is evolving and I’m on comfortable with the new look “ already tells us that you were a fan conditionally, because if you truly loved an artist, you would watch them go through the different phases of their life you may not like every single phase. You may not connect to all the music in every single phase, but to outright say you are no longer a fan of them, because they are growing up and changing is a problem. They’re asking her to keep the mentality of a 19-year-old for them

I like how over the years the albums seemed to begin talking about children and their struggles (hinting to Melanie's past too) And then getting to highschool talking about the first love and other problems with society and everything, and then there was the bakery and everything where u feel like it's in adulthood talking about life's meaning and accepting yourself and stuff and getting philosophical, and now we're here at the death and rebirth and then the cycle continues and I believe this is in itself an art form. And how the art and aesthetic changed throughout the years starting from cutsy vintage fashion clothes slowly sliding twords magic, weird core, and disturbing scenery, and fantasy creatures. There's no cutsy dress anymore no baby doll aesthetic because the standards have changed. You're the judge of your own life and now that you've spent all your youth trying to break from the social norms you can finally blossom into a beautiful flower but ultimately life itself with all it's goods and it's bads and it's creepy and it's lovely with keep on going. And you can't sorrow about it forever.

WOMB I knew I wanted the album to end on the title "WOMB." This was one of the earliest songs written in 2020. Had a session one day with Omer Fedi as part of a week of sessions I had with different people. Omer started playing these guitar chords that were so beautiful, I asked him to play it on loop while I stared at the corner of the room quickly writing lyrics. CJ and I had Rhys come in and record live drums around 2 years later to complete it. This song was written from the perspective of entering a new lifetime. The feeling of nerves and excitement that arise when you're about to forget everything you know about your true self as a soul in order to let your human experience on earth move your progression forward. - Melanie Martinez

I love how Womb transitions back to Death but did you realise that all albums (Crybaby, K-12, etc) all connect with each other? This symbolises that “Crybaby” will have this journey again and again - Dying, awaking in a new form, in the womb. Melanie said: “Womb was written from the perspective of entering a new form/lifetime. The feeling nerves and excitement that arise when you’re about to forget everything you know about your true self as a soul in order to let your human experience on earth move your profession forward.” I really like this song because the tune reminds me of a game show (So random but yeah) and it just gives you a visual of Melanie in the womb and how she feels. 🤍🕯️

This album is exactly what I needed at this time in my life. Im about to become an adult and its scary knowing in a few months Ill have to take that leap that I feel like Im not ready for. This song reminded me that the end of my childhood doesnt just have to be the death of something, it can also be a rebirth. Thank you Melanie 💕

This is actually my favorite song from the new album! it might be the guitar in the background(I am a musician in practice who is working on some guitar and Ocarina songs!) but it has some type of flair with the drum parts, and Melanie’s voice is very soft and angelic and fits this perfectly!

this is literally the best song in the album, the 'feeling alive' gets me everyday. i love the beat, it matches the singing so much, when it gets to the the chorus the beat is just amazing, keep you good work up. i love your new era so much, of course i'll miss cry baby, but this era is so amazing. it's probably very difficult to go from one aesthetic from another, but you did it perfectly. i have loved you since i saw the dollhouse music video years ago, you have grown so much.

Something I noticed is that some songs in this album have common themes of basically not reducing your self-worth. And the cool thing is that it all ends with this song. WOMB itself is not connected to the theme of self-worth, however, about this song, Melanie stated, "...you're about to forget everything you know about your true self as a soul..." Cool thing is, empowering your self worth is A LOT like soul consciousness, realizing you're a soul and not even your body; and realizing that life on earth in your human body is pretty much a game/fixed drama.

i love this one, because it's showing the comfort of being birthed to a mother who loves you: she says "im safe and im sound" which was the opposite of crybaby, whose mother used/hated/neglected her. she was literally reborn in every way, and it puts a sense of comfort and peace despite the horrible description of birth. for you to be safe, healthy, and loved despite what the mother went through, the hope and affection the mother and baby share with each other looking towards the future together.
