I don’t understand why this is everyone’s least favorite. People keep skipping it, but I feel like this is one of Melanie’s most heartbreaking and open songs. I feel like crying every time I listen to it, and you can feel the sadness in her voice. This is so beautiful.

Heavily underrated. This song made my partner cry. He was confused at first and then you could see the realization. Now he sings this with me whenever it comes on and we tear up everytime. If we look at each other, forget it; waterfall of tears. THIS SONG IS RAW AND REAL!

Yeah, me too. I really thought this song was a skip because I never heard the middle part. It’s a beautiful song. I would put it in top 2. The first part isn’t downbeat and like the rest of the song, that’s would got me set down. One I gave it a full listen it was a really good song. At first, I just listened to the original, and the ‘best’ ones, like ‘Death’ and ‘Void’ which aren’t the best ones by far, they’re just the first ones on the album. ‘I guess it’s just the the luck of the draw’ really captivated my mind. It really summarized what melanie had to go though over the years. In fact, this whole song did. No other song of hers, even outside of the album has this much story behind it. It has the perfect tune and perfect pitch. It even sounds go sped up and backwards, which is a quality that most music does not have. Also, ‘yapping to seem official’ was just a really good lyric. It was the perfect transition to the peak of the song, which is the middle. I know I said before I would put it at top two, but now, I change my mind. It is top 1. It’s the best song in the album. Unlike some songs in this album, it just has the perfect lyrics and tune. So, I agree. This song is very beautiful and did not capture my eye in the first listen, but once I listened to it closely, it became my favorite song in the whole playlist.

The "leeches" thats Melanie's referring too is us the fans. Yapping to seem official is saying that things are and arent going to be out when we dont know that so we make ot official that it is or isnt happening. How much blood can you draw with your claws is symbolizing to how much information can you get out of me. Also gnaw on my bones no marrow left is saying weve taking all the information out and are waiting for more so we can leak all the information we get. All the songs of this album are so powerful, emotionally strong. You can feel the pain in this one. It gives me chill through the whole song, and the ghostly-instrumental helps to feel it. My favorite parts of the song are the rhyming, “superficial, artificial, official, beneficial” and the middle where she hit her vocals “so you starve” This one has to be my favorite song from the album, it’s just magnificent 😩

I love how Melanie's music is so unique and different from music these days, and how she's not afraid to change her whole aesthetic for the new album. She writes about important topics unlike most artists, who literally just sing about breakups or their lovers and stuff. Mel's music helps me through so much and Im so glad I'm alive the same time that she is

I relate so much to this song I feel someone is abusing my kindness and trust. I feel that person is humiliating me. My friends mostly leave me behind, I guess it’s because I’m too sensitive for them. At this point I feel that my sadness is not taken seriously, I sometimes end up crying but that person doesn’t care. She just jokes. I feel ashamed of myself because I feel I’m such a crybaby, but I always end up saying “I guess that’s how things are” “They don’t think too hard ‘bout your fragile heart” Gosh such a relatable lyric. Melanie is a damn genius Anyways this song is such a bop

Melancholic, dreamy, haunting... Melanie is chilling and absolutely beautiful. I've been a casual listener for a long time, since I got a "Now that's what I call hits" CD. and "Dollhouse" was featured at the very end, because she was that CD's featured new-artist. I'd keep playing it over and over. They're such a unique and creative individual. And I could feel and hear all of the subliminal messages they put in all of their work. It's very admirable. Like I may invest in this album with how much this genre really matches well with the emotions in her voice. I look forward to more works if Melanie still plays around with this music genre. Because I'm enamored with these songs and their incredible vocal power. But if she goes back to making fun bops, I'll stick around for those too.

Something I love about Melanie and her music is that no matter the sings meaning, it can so many meanings for different people, and so many people can relate to each other, even if the way they relate to her songs is different.
